Requirements

Experience in the Media (or neighbouring industry)
Strong verbal and written communication
Strong sense of responsibility and ownership for the success of projects
Excellent stakeholder management and a collaborative team approach
Ability to articulate solutions through diagrams, models, and abstractions
Experience in building cloud-native solutions and/or utilizing SAAS platforms
Designing complex integrations, especially with REST based web services
Experience with technologies: Groovy, Python, AWS Serverless (API Gateway, Lambdas), XML, JSON, Open API, virtualisation (especially Docker and its ecosystem), Git, NoSQL products and concepts (Dynamo, column family, etc.)
Exposure to at least one of main programming languages: Java or C#.Net
Preferable: Degree in Computer Science or equivalent relevant experience
Preferable: Experience in Professional Services or Consulting
Preferable: Demonstrable experience as a Solution Architect in an enterprise environment
Preferable: Experience with systems handling high transaction volumes with low latency requirements
Preferable: Knowledge of web application architectures and agile development practices
Preferable: Experience with SAAS-based solutions and delivering media solutions

Responsibilities

Be the champion and technical authority of our customer; understand their vision and articulate how they can best leverage our solutions
Develop high-quality designs and specifications, effectively communicating these to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Take ownership of your solutions and collaborate to see them through the full lifecycle
Evaluate, experiment, compare and prototype different approaches, technologies, and solution designs, fostering an open-minded approach
Keep learning by staying up to date with technology and media industry developments
Share your knowledge through mentoring, training, and brown-bag sessions
Contribute to the continuous improvement of our agile methodology, knowledge base, and tools
Assist pre-sales with estimates, proposals, and high-level architectures
Occasional travel within the UK and internationally may be required
Promote the use of industry and Company technology standards
Monitor emerging technologies/technology practices for potential use
Design, structure, and implement technology solutions to meet business needs
Design technical solutions for large-scale projects aimed at the needs of major global broadcast and media clients
Play a key role in multifaceted technical projects of above-average complexity and significant scope as part of the Scrum team
Foster collaboration within the wider Comcast Technology Solutions business and our extensive partner network
