Requirements

  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in technical roles involving pre-sales or post-sales with customers (including internal cross-organizational pre-sales or post-sales)
  • Ability to accurately understand customer needs and propose/lead project approaches independently
  • Excellent presentation and demo skills for both technical and executive audiences
  • Complete understanding of the full data analytics stack and workflows, from ETL to data platform design, BI, and analytics tools
  • Design and implementation skills in databases, data warehouses, and data processing
  • Extensive hands-on experience with SQL and SQL analytics
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, Perl, Bash
  • Ability and flexibility to work on-site with customers (including willingness to travel as needed)
  • Nice to Have Skills
  • Experience designing and implementing Snowflake for enterprise use
  • Holding SnowPro certification
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL)
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with data warehouses (e.g., Redshift, BigQuery, Synapse, Exadata, Teradata, Greenplum)
  • Experience and knowledge with large-scale data processing tools (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, HBase)
  • Understanding and experience with general BI or data exploration tools (e.g., Microstrategy, Business Objects, Tableau)
  • Experience implementing ETL pipelines using custom and packaged tools
  • Experience designing/implementing AI/ML in data analytics platforms
  • Experience conducting data migration projects
  • Experience and understanding of large-scale infrastructure/services/platforms (e.g., Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
  • Experience using AWS services (e.g., S3, Kinesis, Elastic MapReduce, Data Pipeline)

Responsibilities

  • Act as a technical expert across all aspects of Snowflake
  • Deploy Snowflake according to best practices, including sharing knowledge to help customers understand and extend its features
  • Demonstrate and communicate best practices for Snowflake technology implementation by working hands-on directly with customers
  • Possess deep understanding of competitors, complementary technologies, and vendors, and know how to position Snowflake in relation to them
  • Collaborate deeply at a technical level with system integrator consultants to successfully position and deploy Snowflake in customer environments
  • Provide guidance on solutions for customer-specific technical challenges
  • Support other Professional Services team members in developing expertise
  • Collaborate with product management, engineering, and marketing to continuously improve Snowflake products and marketing
