Requirements

1-3 years of experience as an Engineering Manager
Before becoming a leader, high-performing engineer with a successful track record of end-to-end software development of production systems
Experience building to a high product and design bar
Experience in experimentation and A/B testing, resulting in high-performing, well-loved tech products
Excited about building a team culture of excellence and actively developing leadership skills more formally
Successfully led teams through growth and change, adapting and setting scalable standards
Great coach of engineers with experience developing talent and giving feedback
Exceptional understanding of team’s coding abilities and knowing when projects need extra support
Experience helping team make architectural decisions balancing business value and system stability

Responsibilities

Lead the most critical initiatives to expand registry capabilities
Lead a team of 3+ experienced software engineers across mobile, web, and backend to deliver high-quality features on ambitious timelines
Build and maintain partnerships with teams like Growth, Shop, and Catalog
Develop productive relationships with CTO, engineering leaders, product teams, and stakeholders
Build an adaptable, high-ownership team that responds to diverse challenges
Define, build, and maintain a high-performance, results-driven, collaborative culture aligned with Babylist's core values
