Requirements

Software engineering knowledge for managing development and implementation of Web, Apple iOS App, and Google Android App projects
Experience contributing to best-in-class front-end interfaces for competitive and interactive user experiences (e.g., myQ software product)
Ability to solve complex software engineering problems, recognize process gaps, and recommend solutions
Skills in resource and project planning, tracking, estimation, and coordination of technical effort based on product requirements
Experience in recruiting, onboarding, retaining, scheduling, and direct supervision of Software Engineers or Software Supervisors
Ability to plan and track financial budgets
Expertise in establishing and enforcing guidelines, best practices, and technical leadership for mobile app developers
Experience managing and coordinating local and remote consultants, focusing on presentation layer technologies for IoT consumer-facing connectivity software
Frequent interaction skills with marketing, strategic Lines of Business, and Engineering
Recent prior experience with web and native-based smartphone applications for Apple and Android platforms

Responsibilities

Day-to-day management of on-time, on-budget, and quality functional project execution for one team to ensure system reliability
18-month project forecasting for one team; accountable for direct reports' project time accounting
Functional design approach and technical feasibility for multiple projects, with input from key technical personnel from a single team
Ensure functional process compliance
Maintain standards-based documentation across various architectural views (Conceptual, Logical, Physical) and tiers (Presentation, Business Logic, Storage)
Meet and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for functional group
Ensure Architectural principles and standards are clearly defined, documented, communicated, and maintained across project and product lifecycles
Manage code branching strategy and release process, including verification steps for mobile applications and websites (development to QA to production)
Maintain and mature multi-platform continuous integration and continuous deployment processes and tools
Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the functional area
Execute 1-3 year technology roadmap projects
Annual expense and capital budget planning and tracking for the team
Monitor and create training plans for direct reports to improve skills
