Requirements

  • 8+ years in software engineering, with 3+ years in a technical leadership or management role
  • Strong background in backend systems, distributed architecture, and cloud-native development (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  • Comfortable diving into code, architecture, and technical discussions (hands-on skills)
  • Proven experience leading agile teams with frequent release cycles
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to clearly articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Nice to haves: Experience with AR, FinTech, or enterprise automation platforms; React, Ruby on Rails or Node.js experience; Familiarity with service-oriented, event-driven architecture, and data pipelines; Prior experience scaling an engineering team in a fast-paced environment; AI experience and adoption of AI as a productivity tool

Responsibilities

  • Manage, mentor, and develop multiple engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture
  • Conduct regular 1:1s, provide feedback, support career growth, and facilitate professional development opportunities
  • Set clear goals, evaluate performance, and guide team members through growth plans and reviews
  • Participate in architecture design, sprint planning, code reviews, and technical specifications as needed
  • Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of software releases across squads
  • Work closely with Technical Leadership, Product, QA, DevOps, and other stakeholders to align priorities and deliver business value
  • Champion best practices in software engineering, including CI/CD, automated testing, observability, and performance optimization
  • Contribute to long-term platform strategy, roadmap planning, and resource allocation
  • Foster an environment of trust, inclusion, and accountability
