Requirements

Candidates must have 4+ years of industry experience and at least 2 years of experience managing software engineers. Experience leading teams to deliver highly available, consistently performant services is required, along with proficiency in Python and related data/orchestration frameworks, REST APIs, HTTP(S), and Cloud Infrastructure (preferably AWS). Excellent communication skills in English and experience working in cross-functional teams that prioritize customer requirements are also necessary. Adaptability and openness to change are essential.

Responsibilities

The Software Engineering Manager will lead a team of software engineers, including planning and code reviews, and take ownership of the overall planning, execution, and success of sophisticated technical projects. They will represent the team in cross-functional interactions, vet product requirements, align organizational priorities, and manage dependencies with other engineering leads. Responsibilities also include mentoring team members for career development, providing performance feedback, conducting regular check-ins and 1-1s, and owning the operation of the Area Monitoring signals and markers pipeline by measuring performance, seeking improvements, and responding to incidents. The manager will also contribute technically to projects, coding up to 50% of the time and removing roadblocks.
