Requirements

Candidates should have a BS or MS in computer science with a focus on data engineering and large scale ML systems. They must possess at least 2 years of industry experience building, running, and improving large-volume ML training and validation pipelines. Experience with building native cloud applications and large scale data processing pipelines in production is required. Proficiency in at least one of the following languages: C++, Python, or Go is necessary. Hands-on experience and good knowledge of Computer Vision and Deep Learning are essential, along with a strong tendency to automate workflows.

Responsibilities

The Software Engineer will develop and maintain ML infrastructure, including sensor data ETL pipelines and continuous training pipelines. They will create an MLOps system for managing the lifecycle of ML cloud training and inference pipelines, and continuously improve ML model development and deployment processes. Collaboration with ML engineers to design metrics for ML tasks and implement algorithms for ranking annotation candidates is expected. The role involves working with annotation providers to set up quality control and feedback loops, as well as making sensor data widely discoverable for Robotics Engineers across the company.
