Software Engineer II

Candidates are required to possess a Bachelor's degree in a computer science-related discipline or equivalent experience, along with 5+ years of professional experience in software development. Proficiency in Java or C++ or C# or equivalent programming languages is required, alongside proficiency in Python, JavaScript, ReactJS, and NodeJS, data structures, database concepts, algorithms, and GraphQL APIs. Experience with event-driven architecture and observability concepts is highly desirable.
As a Software Engineer III, you will independently design and develop high-quality, scalable, and secure features, collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications, write clean and well-documented code, troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, drive continuous improvement of development processes, conduct thorough code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and stay current with emerging technologies. You will also contribute to OpenGov’s Engineering culture and lead the adoption of innovative technologies.
