Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, and have at least four years of backend development experience. They should demonstrate the ability to scale backend systems, including sharding, partitioning, and horizontal scaling, and possess a deep understanding of distributed systems and scalability challenges. Furthermore, candidates are expected to have a thorough understanding of engineering best practices, including testing paradigms, code reviews, and resilient architecture, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

As a Software Engineer III, Backend, you will lead backend engineering efforts, leveraging cloud-based systems to detect targeted attacks and automate cyber threat intelligence production at a global scale. You will brainstorm, define, and build collaboratively with various teams, obsessing over learning and championing new technologies. You will be responsible for re-evaluating the product to improve architecture, knowledge models, user experience, performance, and stability, while also mentoring other developers and contributing to the open source community. You will utilize Go, OAuth, Python, AWS, Kafka, GIT, Elasticsearch, Redis, and Postgres to build and extend services for authentication and authorization, supporting both internal and external authentication needs.
