Candidates must have over 3 years of experience as a software engineer and be proficient in modern web tooling and frameworks like TypeScript, React, Apollo, Storybook, and Webpack. They should be self-directed, capable of autonomous work, and able to maintain high standards for themselves and the team. Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills are also essential.
The Software Engineer II will collaborate with engineers, designers, and product managers to develop new features and products. They will be responsible for managing problems from start to finish, considering user experience, data models, scalability, operability, and metrics. The engineer will also proactively identify and prioritize improvements to team processes, codebases, and best practices, working primarily with TypeScript, React, GraphQL, Node, and PostgreSQL.
