Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to develop backends for mobile and web applications.
  • Deliver high-quality web application code, ensuring site stability through code reviews and writing unit/integration tests.
  • Learn and apply best practices for architecture, system design, and coding standards.
  • Dedicate the majority of your time to hands-on coding, with opportunities to learn from and collaborate with experienced engineers.
  • Leverage AI tools throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Work with AI experts to integrate AI into existing systems and expand your knowledge.
  • Contribute ideas and collaborate with the team to adopt new technologies.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to triage and address production reliability issues.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience writing readable, tested, and efficient code.
  • Experience with Ruby or Python.
  • Experience with React or Vue.
  • Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL).
  • Experience designing scalable, maintainable, and secure APIs.
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
  • Exposure to LLMs and GenAI best practices.
  • Familiarity with AI development tools (e.g., Cursor, Copilot).
  • Understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) and deployment tools (Kubernetes, Docker).
  • Willingness to learn new tools, languages, workflows, and philosophies.
  • Curiosity and a focus on problem-solving over being right.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills (verbal and written).
