Requirements

Candidates must have previous experience in a DevOps role and strong automation/scripting skills. Familiarity with one or more cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure is required, along with experience using Terraform, cloud automation, CI/CD, and Docker. Proficiency with Linux and command line tools is essential, as well as experience in developing and maintaining technical documentation and procedures. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary, along with the ability to work both independently and in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

The Software Engineer will be the primary owner of Gecko's Cloud, responsible for discovering and designing solutions for a well-architected cloud. This includes ensuring operational excellence, security, privacy, compliance, reliability, cost optimization, and performance optimization. The role also involves contributing to the Software Platform team's work, which encompasses smooth automated CI/CD processes, customer authentication, permission management, DevOps tool management, optimizing the local development experience, and enabling new business by architecting solutions for necessary certifications.
