This position is based at our Plymouth, MN location within the Structural Heart Division. Our mission is to restore health and improve quality of life by developing device and management solutions for structural heart disease.

The Software Engineer will be an integral part of a dynamic R&D team focused on advancing the treatment of structural heart disease. This role will involve supporting UI/UX development, software development, test case creation, documentation, non-product software validation, and other essential workstreams.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on software development experience.
    • Proficiency in C and/or C++.
    • Experience with UI/UX development using common frameworks (e.g., Qt, Figma).
    • Experience with UI/UX test case development, including Unit, Integration, and Verification Testing.
  • Skills:
    • Ability to effectively engage external stakeholders, gather design feedback, and act as a communication liaison.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
    • Strong familiarity with Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
    • Experience with issue tracking environments (e.g., JIRA, Github Issues).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education: Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency with version control systems (Git, GitHub, GitLab, etc.) and collaborative development workflows.
    • Familiarity with Azure DevOps.
    • Understanding of hardware design, schematics, and the ability to read component datasheets.
    • Basic Linux OS configuration experience.
    • Familiarity with regulatory standards for medical device software development (e.g., IEC 62304).
    • Experience and/or familiarity with cardiac anatomy and interventional cardiology.
