Requirements

Candidates should possess a Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, with over 8 years of experience in QA and test automation. Required skills include hands-on embedded electronics prototyping, deep expertise in developing and maintaining automated test frameworks for embedded systems, comfort with multiple programming languages for device validation and profiling, and experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) testing. Additionally, candidates must have experience commercializing electronic hardware, the ability to read schematics and PCB layouts, familiarity with test case management tools like TestRail or Zephyr, and bug tracking systems such as Jira. Strong communication skills, humility, curiosity, and a passion for knowledge sharing are also essential.

Responsibilities

The Staff Embedded Systems Test Engineer will design, implement, and manage the critical infrastructure required to guarantee the reliability, performance, and scalability of embedded systems. This includes validating everything from low-level firmware to complex physical interactions, and owning the entire automated testing landscape for innovative embedded systems. The role involves acting as the liaison between embedded hardware, software, and program management, working with bare-metal and RTOS code on MCUs, and translating product goals into technical requirements. Responsibilities also include prototyping and triaging issues on embedded Android devices.
