Requirements

  • H.S. Diploma required (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • NMLS Registration required
  • 4+ years of banker/client relationship consultant or related sales experience with established goals
  • Advanced knowledge of retail product philosophy, policy, procedures, documentation and systems
  • Thorough knowledge of all retail products and services
  • Functional knowledge of complex accounts (e.g., Trust, Power of Attorney, Guardianship, Court-Blocked)
  • Ability to analyze client credit data

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional client experience through sales and service activities at branch locations
  • Consult with clients to facilitate awareness and education of bank products, services, and digital banking capabilities
  • Process routine financial transactions accurately and efficiently (e.g., check cashing, withdrawals, deposits, loan payments)
  • Open and maintain client accounts, address requests, inquiries, and complaints promptly
  • Assist in branch lending processes: accept applications, answer questions, book loans, educate on options, complete applications and documentation
  • Act as a leader in client sales and service, assist with branch operations, train, mentor, and coach team members
  • Grow and maintain consumer/business lending pipeline by deepening relationships, sourcing referrals, conducting outbound calls, networking, and delivering banking presentations
  • Apply need-based sales techniques to attract, expand, and retain client relationships; recognize and facilitate referrals to other business lines
  • Communicate proactively with clients to educate, resolve issues, develop loyalty, solicit feedback, and hold appointments (scheduled or walk-in)
  • Verify and process changes to existing accounts, respond to inquiries, resolve account problems
  • Comply with policies, procedures, security requirements, and government regulations
  • Balance cash drawer, counting currency and coin accurately
