Requirements

  • Valid California driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to operate equipment as trained
  • Effective communicator who acts as an ambassador of service for the Company internally to staff and externally to guests with respect and maturity
  • Capacity to read, understand, and comply with documents such as safety rules, procedure manuals, and guest policies
  • Documentation of current membership status for a PSIA/AASI Level II Ski or Snowboard Certification
  • Strong technical skills needed for accurate daily reporting of Ski and Ride School (SRS) statistics
  • Extensive knowledge of the SRS operations, resort policies/procedures, teaching experience and management skills
  • Completion of the On-Hill Skier and/or Snowboarder Certification, depending on discipline
  • Completion of the required training checklist
  • Completion and passing of the discipline appropriate Clearance Card for each level of skill-based lessons
  • Able to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays at any of the BBMR resort locations
  • Successful completion of a background investigation
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation

Responsibilities

  • Manage apprentice instructors, instructors and activity assistants in their daily job performance
  • Interact with guests and other departments on a regular basis
  • Train staff as needed
  • Assist with creating a safe and enjoyable experience for guests
  • Help staff teach children and/or adults how to ski and/or snowboard
