Experience integrating Jira and Confluence via APIs, webhooks, and plugins with other enterprise applications and systems is essential. Proficiency with Linux/Windows server environments, virtualization platforms, and managing databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle is necessary. Hands-on experience with Datadog for performance monitoring and tuning, along with excellent communication skills for cross-functional team collaboration, are also required.

Responsibilities

The Site Reliability Engineer will improve the performance and reliability of customer Jira Data Center instances, address incident root causes, and reduce incident rates. Responsibilities include monitoring application and infrastructure health with Datadog, conducting web application performance investigations and tuning, and installing, configuring, and upgrading Jira and Confluence Data Center applications. The role involves designing, deploying, and maintaining infrastructure, performing regular maintenance such as backups and patching, and planning/implementing integrations with other applications and systems. Additionally, the engineer will collaborate with IT teams on best practices, enforce security measures, manage user access, document system architecture and procedures, analyze performance metrics for optimization, and stay updated on Atlassian products and industry trends.
