The ideal candidate should possess 5 or more years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer, demonstrating a strong understanding of infrastructure management and automation. They require a deep knowledge of underlying technology and a vendor-agnostic approach, embodying a DevOps mentality. Candidates should have experience with scripting languages such as Python, Golang, or Bash.
The Site Reliability Engineer will proactively perform health checks, configuration audits, and preventative maintenance on network devices and server infrastructure to identify and mitigate potential issues. They will design, develop, and implement internal tools and scripts to automate network and system monitoring, configuration management, and critical failover testing procedures. This role involves contributing to the design and implementation of highly available and redundant infrastructure solutions, providing advanced troubleshooting support for complex issues, and creating comprehensive documentation for operational procedures. Additionally, they will research and evaluate new technologies, collaborate with vendors, and participate in On-Call and Incident Response.
