Additional post-secondary education preferred (technical or vocational in material handling, warehouse, distribution, packaging, etc.)
Previous work experience in manufacturing warehouse and/or distribution environment preferred
CDL required
Must pass forklift written test and driver test given by the company
Ability to communicate and work effectively in a team environment
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions safely and accurately
Ability to maintain GMP standards
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly (up to 100 pounds maximum, e.g., sack of flour, approximately 144 times per day from ankle to chest)
Ability to stand (20%), walk (70%), and bend (10%) for 12-hour shifts
Ability to perform physical demands: reach (540 times/day up to 2.5 feet, 72 times/day up to 6 feet), repetitive hand/arm motions (800 times/day), back twisting (720 times/day), push/pull (upper body 72 times/day, whole body 10 times/day), climb stairs/ladders
Ability to read, write, see, hear, communicate, add, subtract, and understand instructions
Ability to operate forklifts, electric/manual floor jacks, dollies safely
Responsibilities
Operate forklift in a safe manner
Load and unload trucks
Receive raw materials and products
Pick, pack, wrap, label, and ship products using forklift and pallet jack
Maintain receiving and shipping logs
Inspect incoming and outgoing products and materials for good condition
Move raw and packing materials to production area using FIFO standard
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of the warehouse
