  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Data Science, or a related field
  • Experience in conducting research and data analysis
  • Strong numeracy and Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Comfortable writing international English in clear, concise style
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis and reporting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively with S&P Global teams across different time zones, while simultaneously carrying out independent tasks and activities
  • (Preferred) Understanding of commodity markets and its dynamics
  • (Preferred) Shipping/freight market experience, or market reporting experience
  • (Preferred) Proficiency in data visualization tools and software, such as Tableau or Power BI
  • (Preferred) Knowledge in AI prompting

Responsibilities

  • Collect tanker freight market information and port fee data for hundreds of ports
  • Develop and maintain data dashboards and reports for management review
  • Develop, expand, and maintain sources to ensure comprehensive data collection
  • Identify process improvement ideas and educate the market through various engagement initiatives and source development
  • Leverage research capabilities, by supporting special projects and initiatives as assigned by the management, including collaborating with other teams globally, research on specific topics and publishing insights
  • Cover freight markets when required
