  • High School diploma or GED equivalency
  • Valid driver's license & reliable transportation
  • Tools (hammer, screwdrivers, channel locks, multimeter, allen wrenches, pliers, knife, flashlight)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal (written follow-up, ability to explain solutions to resident issues, etc.)
  • Self-motivated, highly customer focused, technically skilled, fast moving, and technologically proficient (ideal candidate traits)
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work: standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing all day; lift and/or move items over 50 pounds; specific vision abilities (close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, adjust focus)
  • Regularly required to talk and listen

Responsibilities

  • Complete thorough inspections of buildings, units and homes (including move-out, make ready, and onboarding inspections)
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on apartments and single family homes, including units, common areas and amenities
  • Ensure heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems are functioning as intended
  • Perform test for proper functionality and have general knowledge of HVAC components
  • Complete internally managed service requests
  • Prepare vacant units for new move-ins
  • Perform quality assurance inspections of work completed by outside vendors
  • Ensure proper removal and disposal of trash, if needed
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools
  • Respond to on-call and potentially after hours emergencies in a timely manner
  • Work in a safe manner and recognize unsafe situations. Take appropriate action to ensure safety of themselves and others in building
  • Serve as Mynd’s “on-the-ground” ambassador; post legal notices and inside maps across the property
  • Other duties as assigned
