Requirements

  • Extensive experience in user research, preferably in the gaming or mobile app industry
  • Expertise in a wide range of quantitative and qualitative research methods, with a proven ability to select and apply the appropriate methodology to address specific research questions
  • Experience in translating a player's insight into impactful features in game
  • Familiarity with testing tools such as UserTesting, PlaytestCloud, etc
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data and draw meaningful conclusions
  • Proficiency in the research lifecycle, including: briefing, recruitment, questionnaire/discussion guide design, analysis, synthesis of findings, communication of insights

Responsibilities

  • Design and lead mixed-methods research studies, including surveys, interviews, focus groups, usability testing, and other appropriate methodologies to address research questions
  • Collaborate with product, design and data scientists to define research objectives, identify research needs, and prioritize projects
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our players, their behaviors, motivations, and needs, and use these insights to improve our players' experience with the game
  • Ensure that the player perspective is heard and acted upon in the King game design process
  • Translate research findings into actionable and impactful insights and recommendations, and effectively communicate them to the team
  • Establish, improve and promote UX research best practices and processes, and advocate for the role of research in the game team
  • Mentor and support more junior UX researchers, fostering a culture of curiosity, collaboration, and continuous learning within King
  • Stay current with the latest UX research trends, tools, and methodologies, and proactively explore opportunities to incorporate new approaches into our research practice
  • Use inclusive design methodologies, ensuring that we deliver experiences everybody can have access to
