Requirements

  • 5+ years as a UX designer on an agile-ish product development team, working from inception to launch on customer-facing features
  • Broad UX skillset as a generalist, covering research and idea validation, concept development, design, and testing
  • Portfolio of representative work highlighting skills as a problem solver
  • Ownership and growth mindset to seek out new opportunities, invest deeply, and move fast when needed
  • Strong organization skills and ability to work effectively across tools like Figma, Linear, GitHub, Storybook, etc
  • AI literacy: proficiency using tools like Claude, Cursor, Loveable, and others; opinions on how AI improves work
  • Experience working on AI features or strong opinions on good AI experiences from personal use
  • Curious mind: deep understanding of the product
  • Customer obsessed: spend time with customers, advocate for them, know their jobs-to-be-done (JTBD) and success metrics
  • Own the experience roadmap with strong opinions on product improvements

Responsibilities

  • Be the customer advocate: spend time with customers, learn how they work and think, advocate for them in R&D discussions, and spearhead customer research and UX testing where valuable
  • Design great products: lead brainstorms, create wireframes, explore workflows, build prototypes, and craft mockups for iterating on existing features or building new ones
  • Work cross-functionally: partner with product and engineering to co-lead the Product Pod, collaborate directly with front-end engineers to launch high-quality products
  • Own the design backlog and roadmap: navigate tradeoffs, build plans for UX debt, design systems, navigational changes, etc
  • Be part of a tightly knit, dynamic startup team, contributing to the culture
