Candidates should possess proven experience as a Gameplay Programmer or similar role in game development, strong proficiency in C++ and/or C# programming languages, a good understanding of ECS and Full Stack, experience working with game engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine, and a solid understanding of gameplay mechanics, game design principles, and player experience. They should also demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, possess strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, and have experience with version control systems, along with a passion for gaming and staying current with industry trends.
The Gameplay Programmer will collaborate with game designers to understand gameplay requirements and translate them into functional features, implement and optimize gameplay systems and mechanics in C++ or C#, debug and troubleshoot gameplay-related issues and performance bottlenecks, conduct gameplay testing and gather feedback to iterate and improve features, stay updated on industry trends and emerging gameplay technologies, and create documentation for gameplay systems and features for team members.
