The Senior Technology and Cybersecurity Risk Professional defines the standard for Humana’s cybersecurity and technology-related risk management approach, and identifies and reports on related risk. The Senior Technology and Cybersecurity Risk Professional work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Technology and Cybersecurity Risk Professional to join our team. This evolving, pivotal role will be responsible for responding to customer security and technology questionnaires, Requests for Proposal (RFPs), and regulatory inquiries and exams. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of industry-standard security frameworks, have significant experience with contract review and redlining, and demonstrate an ability to communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Key Responsibilities
Inquiry Response
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer security and technology questionnaires, RFPs, and regulatory inquiries and exams, developing timely and accurate responses.
- Translate complex technical and security concepts into clear, business-friendly language for external parties.
Contractual Review
- Review, redline, and negotiate contracts and related documents, collaborating with legal, business and IT leadership teams as needed.
- Engage in written and verbal negotiations with customers, vendors, and regulators.
- Support cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between contractual obligations, operational capabilities, and regulatory requirements.
- Communicate findings and impacts confidently and strategically to leadership and external stakeholders.
Regulatory Review / Audits
- Primary: Monitor, interpret, and communicate emerging regulations and requirements relevant to the healthcare industry and Humana’s operations.
- Regularly interact and present to senior leadership, providing updates, recommendations, and risk analyses.
- Interpret and translate complex technical and security concepts into clear, business-friendly language for senior leadership communications and external parties.
- Evaluate new and emerging regulations in the ever-changing healthcare regulatory environment, and identify and communicate the impact to Humana.
Quality Audit and Approval
- Review and approve draft responses to customer and regulatory inquiries to ensure accurate and appropriate responses.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of response processes, contract review methodologies, and risk management practices.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA or JD) strongly preferred.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to distill technical information for non-technical audiences.
- Must be comfortable with regular presenting to executive level leadership (VP's etc).
- Proven experience in contract review, redlining, and negotiations.
- Strong business acumen and analytical skills.
- Demonstrate comprehensive expertise in IT technologies, operations, and procedures—particularly within the healthcare sector—including in-depth knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and healthcare-specific regulations and requirements.
- Ability to interact confidently and effectively with senior leaders and external stakeholders.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adept at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to quickly adjust to new requirements and shifting timelines.
Preferred Experience
- Direct experience supporting security or technology risk management in the healthcare sector.
- Familiarity with Humana’s IT and cybersecurity operations, policies, standards.
