Technical Support Engineer

Position Overview

Cribl is seeking Technical Support Engineers to ensure customer success by providing enterprise-level support to our customers and partners. Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep technical understanding of Cribl Stream and other Cribl products.
  • Provide extraordinary technical support to Enterprise customers across various channels (Slack, email, online meetings, etc.).
  • Research, diagnose, troubleshoot, and identify solutions to resolve customer issues.
  • Follow standard procedures for reproducibility and escalation of unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams.
  • Provide prompt and accurate feedback to customers, set achievable expectations, and ensure proper recording and closure of all issues.
  • Contribute to the knowledge base by creating tech notes, articles, and participating in real-time forums (e.g., Slack).
  • This position may require stand-by, on-call, or off-hours duties.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Computer Science or a similar degree, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise customers or working hands-on with distributed systems.
  • Passion for working on complex technical issues.
  • Expert-level troubleshooting, problem-solving skills, and critical thinking.
  • Excellent client-facing and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Experience with Linux, AWS, Azure, and Networking.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Splunk, Elasticsearch, LogStash, and/or other related observability technologies.
  • Regex and JavaScript experience.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $130,000 - $163,000 (dependent on geographic location and candidate's qualifications).
  • Benefits Package: Includes health, dental, vision, short-term disability, life insurance, paid holidays and PTO, fertility treatment benefit, 401(k), equity, and eligibility for a discretionary company-wide bonus.
