Responsibilities

Find opportunities and anticipate risks in critical systems — preventing problems from design to production and increasing resilience and reliability
Solve complex and ambiguous problems involving multiple systems and services, often spanning different technical domains (e.g., Cloud, Observability, Edge, Networking, Databases, Security)
Define technical directions for the Cloud domain, influencing standards, practices, and architectural decisions beyond your team, even without formal authority
Build the long-term technical vision for critical domains, defining engineering golden paths used across the entire company
Balance trade-offs between short and long term, local vs. global, optimization vs. time-to-market
Lead cross-team and cross-domain projects, ensuring efficient execution, influencing EMs, PMs, and technical leadership to converge on strategic solutions
Act as a bar-raiser, participating in hiring, promotions, and evaluations, helping to elevate the company's technical level
