Kraken is seeking a Senior Staff Product Designer to play a crucial role in shaping the future of Kraken in the payments space. This is an opportunity to lead the development of new Kraken products and to lead the design and delivery of our new payments app from concept to delivery. As a fully remote company, Krakenites are located in 70+ countries. The ideal candidate will be passionate about crypto and blockchain technology and committed to Kraken's mission of accelerating the global adoption of crypto.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading 0→1 product design initiatives.
• Experience with design and delivery of new products from concept to delivery.
• Strong understanding of user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design principles.
• Ability to balance business objectives, customer needs, insights, and technical constraints.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to track emerging customer trends and use insights to upgrade designs.
• Experience with design reviews and providing/receiving feedback.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of completely new product concepts for the payments space.
• Set industry benchmarks with visually rich and innovative designs, enhancing Kraken’s brand recognition.
• Create exceptional quality user experiences, working closely with designers, researchers, product managers, content writers, and engineers.
• Develop the visual concept for Kraken’s payments products and develop the design language.
• Own your work, take full accountability for the quality of your designs, and track outcomes and results.
• Track emerging customer trends and use insights to upgrade our designs and impact our overall design direction.
• Lead design reviews, seeking and giving meaningful and supportive feedback.
