The salary range is $110,600 - $182,200 plus bonus eligible + benefits. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
This is a hybrid role requiring on-site work Monday through Wednesday at the Cary, Illinois office, with flexibility to work remotely the rest of the week. You must live within commuting distance of the Cary, Illinois office.
A Bachelor’s degree in Packaging, Mechanical, Industrial, Materials Engineering, or related field is required, along with minimum 6 years of engineering experience focused on packaging design and development. Additional requirements include familiarity with ISO, ASTM, ISTA, or USP standards, experience with packaging verification and validation, working knowledge of labeling development, and basic statistical analysis tools.
You will collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, quality, manufacturing, regulatory, and supply chain teams, and mentor and guide team members on packaging best practices.
Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s in Packaging Engineering or advanced degree, experience in medical device/pharmaceutical packaging, familiarity with sterile packaging and ISO 11607, knowledge of FDA regulations and Design Controls, and proficiency with tools like Minitab.
