Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Packaging, Mechanical, Industrial, Materials Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 6 years of engineering experience with a focus on packaging design and development
  • Familiarity with developing packaging systems compliant with ISO, ASTM, ISTA, or USP standards
  • Experience with packaging verification and validation, including sealing, distribution, and shelf-life studies
  • Working knowledge of labeling development and basic statistical analysis tools

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop packaging and labeling solutions from concept through commercialization for medical devices, drugs, and combination products
  • Lead packaging projects to implement changes across the product portfolio, driving cost optimization, quality improvements, and scalability
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards through robust verification and validation processes
  • Develop and refine packaging components that meet usability, sustainability, and manufacturing requirements
  • Support existing products by resolving packaging-related issues, including cost reductions and supply chain resiliency
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, quality, manufacturing, regulatory, and supply chain teams to deliver high-quality results
  • Mentor and guide team members on packaging best practices, design requirements, and testing strategies
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by assessing current processes and integrating customer insights into packaging innovations
