- Bachelor’s degree in Packaging, Mechanical, Industrial, Materials Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 6 years of engineering experience with a focus on packaging design and development
- Familiarity with developing packaging systems compliant with ISO, ASTM, ISTA, or USP standards
- Experience with packaging verification and validation, including sealing, distribution, and shelf-life studies
- Working knowledge of labeling development and basic statistical analysis tools
Responsibilities
- Design and develop packaging and labeling solutions from concept through commercialization for medical devices, drugs, and combination products
- Lead packaging projects to implement changes across the product portfolio, driving cost optimization, quality improvements, and scalability
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards through robust verification and validation processes
- Develop and refine packaging components that meet usability, sustainability, and manufacturing requirements
- Support existing products by resolving packaging-related issues, including cost reductions and supply chain resiliency
- Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, quality, manufacturing, regulatory, and supply chain teams to deliver high-quality results
- Mentor and guide team members on packaging best practices, design requirements, and testing strategies
- Contribute to continuous improvement by assessing current processes and integrating customer insights into packaging innovations

The salary range is $110,600 - $182,200 plus bonus eligible + benefits. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.

This is a hybrid role requiring on-site work Monday through Wednesday at the Cary, Illinois office, with flexibility to work remotely the rest of the week. You must live within commuting distance of the Cary, Illinois office.
