Requirements

Candidates are required to possess an Honours Degree in an Engineering discipline and have at least six years of manufacturing experience with increasing levels of responsibility. Desired is an advanced degree, such as a Master’s, Black Belt, or PhD, along with experience in thermal spray coatings or related deposition technologies or materials science. Excellent communication and influencing skills are also necessary.

Responsibilities

The Senior Staff Engineer will develop and oversee manufacturing processes for medical implants, collaborating with various teams to develop new technologies, troubleshoot issues, and implement best practices. They will lead efforts in scaling up new processes, ensuring compliance with regulations, developing technical solutions to complex problems, developing system level design strategy, recommending changes in procedures, serving as a technical advisor, and potentially leading design, development, testing, and refinement of systems. They will also drive employee engagement and implement a support structure for engineers, and be capable of technically leading a multi-disciplined team.
