Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar STEM field or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of software engineering experience
  • Deep familiarity with Ads privacy challenges (GDPR, CCPA, ePD, ATT, etc.) and experience delivering high Ads performance in line with privacy needs
  • Capable of acting as an individual contributor who can design, implement, test, and launch complex product and infrastructure changes across the entire Ads stack
  • Experience coordinating large-scale, cross-functional efforts that span different teams, and driving alignment between diverse stakeholders
  • Experience leading strategic implementation and planning for risk and growth

Responsibilities

  • Understand and audit the current state of privacy in Ads, and architect solutions for critical initiatives
  • Collaborate to form the long term technical vision and strategy for Ads Privacy for the next 2+ years
  • Lead large cross-functional projects end to end, from concept, design, implementation, to rollout, ensuring the highest quality and performance
  • Build a privacy platform that all teams in Ads can integrate with to access necessary data in a scalable and auditable fashion
  • Collaborate with engineering leaders, data scientists, backend software engineers, fullstack engineers, as well as machine learning engineers. Also work closely with security, legal, and privacy XFN
  • Mentor engineers and leaders, share industry knowledge, and contribute to the technical growth of the team
  • Stay updated on state-of-the-art products and technologies, recognizing promising innovations, identifying gaps, and adapting them to Reddit's unique platform and community
