Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience in a DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or similar role, with experience managing large-scale production environments
Demonstrated experience in managing and integrating on-premises infrastructure with public cloud services
Strong experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Expert-level knowledge of virtualization technologies like VMware vSphere or Hyper-V
Strong practical experience with Terraform or a similar IaC tool
Deep understanding and hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
Proficiency with a tool like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Bash)

Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and maintain robust infrastructure across both public cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premises data centers
Develop, maintain, and optimize robust automated CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) to ensure fast, reliable, and secure software releases for applications deployed across both environments
Design and manage infrastructure using IaC tools like Terraform and integrate them with tools for managing on-premises hardware/VMs
Manage and maintain containerized applications using Docker and orchestrate them with Kubernetes (or similar tools like OpenShift) in both cloud and on-premises clusters
Automate repetitive tasks and provision resources using scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet) for both physical and virtual machines
Implement and manage comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Splunk) to ensure high availability across the entire infrastructure footprint
Manage and maintain virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware vSphere, Hyper-V) used in the on-premises environment
Integrate security best practices (DevSecOps) into the CI/CD process and ensure security compliance for both cloud and on-premises systems
Act as an escalation point for production issues, rapidly diagnosing and resolving complex infrastructure and application problems in the hybrid environment
