Requirements

Candidates should have 5+ years of technical experience as a backend software engineer. Experience in crafting robust backends and database structures that can scale with user volume and business complexity is required. Familiarity with devops practices such as setting up CI/CD and containerization is preferred. Experience with service providers like AWS and configuring CDNs is also necessary. Demonstrated success as a tech lead on critical projects at previous roles and prior experience at a high-growth stage company are important. Strong judgment in making technical tradeoff decisions and excellent communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

The Senior / Staff Backend Engineer will serve as the technology lead, owning key decisions regarding the tech stack and strategy for backend design, data infrastructure, and machine learning investments. They will work directly with co-founders, product designers, and frontend engineers to build the initial version of the platform. Additionally, they will help establish and grow the engineering organization while mentoring the next generation of technology leaders.
