Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with a minimum of 7 years of experience in systems administration, specifically within a government environment. They must be able to initially obtain a Public Trust clearance and potentially follow-on to a Top Secret Security clearance, with current TS clearance being a plus. Strong troubleshooting skills and familiarity with IP networking concepts, including firewalls, DNS, VPNs, and QOS, are essential, as is experience with video conferencing technologies such as SIP, H323, Pexip Infinity, and Poly Clariti. Experience with Microsoft Teams Room devices, Crestron Flex, and Windows/Linux OS administration is also required.

Responsibilities

The Senior Specialist, Systems Administration will provide O&M / PM support of contracted operations for the Federal Government, managing servers, performing backups, troubleshooting OS issues, and applying patches and upgrades. They will troubleshoot video conferencing systems, including SIP, H323, and cloud platforms like Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, and WebEx, while also architecting projects and providing technical recommendations. The role involves supporting remote enterprise VTC customers and external VTC partners, as well as laptop troubleshooting for local teams, and managing data structures, auditing data integrity, and supporting data import/export processes. Overtime, shift work, and weekend tours may be required, and occasional travel could be necessary, alongside performing other duties as assigned.
