Requirements

Candidates must have 6+ years of professional full stack software engineering experience building applications and tools for government customers, including features like auditable workflows, secure authentication, and role-based access controls. Deep knowledge of service-oriented architecture, RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems is required, along with a strong understanding of scalable database design (relational and NoSQL). Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Next.js, React Query, and TypeScript is necessary, as is experience building responsive UIs using CSS frameworks like Tailwind and component libraries like Material UI. Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure scaling is also required. Eligibility for a US security clearance is mandatory, and active clearances are a plus.

Responsibilities

The Senior Software Engineer will design and implement scalable RESTful APIs (OpenAPI-compliant) for features like indexing, search, and video analysis, integrating with model inference pipelines. They will architect and optimize high-throughput, service-oriented backend systems for enterprise-grade SaaS, ensuring low latency, high availability, and scalability. Responsibilities also include designing and developing responsive, high-performance frontend applications using modern frameworks (React, Next.js), ensuring seamless integration with backend services. The engineer will collaborate with Machine Learning Engineers, Infrastructure Engineers, and Forward Deployed Engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions and drive adherence to coding standards, best practices, and optimization techniques across the stack.
