Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Java or Kotlin (or other JVM based language)
  • Strong experience with Spring framework, relational databases, distributed and concurrent systems (Kafka)
  • Experience in scraping technologies at scale and maintaining data accuracy
  • Close collaboration with product managers, data scientists, data analysts, engineers and other product teams on a daily basis
  • Experience in writing testable code and testing strategies, such as unit testing, integration testing
  • Follow best coding practices, code reviews and open feedback
  • Great communication skills and ability to articulate complex, technical concepts to non-technical audience
  • Strive to improve team culture and processes
  • Strong product mindset and passion for customer experience, prioritising work with customers in mind and making data-driven decisions
  • Ability to work independently on customer problems, taking end-to-end ownership of projects

Responsibilities

  • Evolve and scale the marketing platform and comparison systems
  • Build systems and APIs
  • Shape the next stage of comparison scraping strategy
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, data scientists, data analysts, engineers and other product teams
  • Develop new features from planning to release and monitor their adoption
  • Participate in quarterly plannings and propose ideas to advance the comparison product
