Requirements

Candidates must possess a BS/BTech or higher in Computer Science or Engineering, with a minimum of 6 years of experience building full-stack web applications. They should have at least 3 years of experience with SQL or other database querying languages on large datasets, 3 years of experience as a technical decision-maker focused on business value, and 3 years of experience coaching other engineers. Preferred qualifications include experience with modern JavaScript frameworks like React, Angular, VueJs, or Ember, expertise in at least one server-side web technology (e.g., Nodejs, Java, Python, Go), familiarity with relational databases, API design, cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines, and experience with security and sensitive data systems.

Responsibilities

The Senior Software Engineer II will maintain, improve, and expand the company's web application and data pipelines, developing secure, maintainable, performant, correct, scalable, and stable solutions. They will embrace strategies that minimize risk through observability, alerting, metrics, high test coverage, and frequent releases. Key duties include developing and implementing scalable solutions, partnering with Engineering Managers, Product Managers, and stakeholders to execute technical roadmaps using Agile processes, and mentoring junior engineers through code reviews and providing constructive feedback.
