Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and recent, relevant work experience. They should have at least 5 years of software development experience utilizing industry standard design patterns in common languages such as Java. Experience with vendor-management for 3rd dependencies, particularly API integration, is required, along with validated experience in test-driven development techniques (TDD, JUnit, mocks). Familiarity with KAFKA and/or Azure EventHub, as well as experience in re-platforming applications from on-premise hosting solutions to Azure and migrating databases from Oracle to PostgreSQL, is also necessary.
The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for complex API integrations in the area of connected vehicles with a high degree of autonomy, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal integration. They will contribute to the automation of build/deploy/environment setup processes, enhance existing software, and develop new software solutions to address specific needs or solve business problems. Additionally, the role involves supporting production deployments, post-deployment validation, translating business requirements into user stories and tasks, utilizing ADO, Jira, Confluence, Slack, and GitHub integration, and employing GitHub Actions and Sonar. The engineer will also troubleshoot intricate microservices ecosystems with multiple 3rd-party integrations, working in a fast-paced Agile environment and demonstrating a can-do attitude in developing solutions to meet user experience and performance needs.
