What You’ll Do

As the Senior Staff Software Engineer for Scout Motors' digital products and services, you will lead software engineering teams and drive the development of digital solutions for customers and business partners. The digital portfolio includes order management, customer management, production, inventory and planning optimization, loyalty, merchandise, servicing and repairs, mobile app, vehicle connectivity, charging, and more. You will collaborate with engineering managers, senior engineers, and cross-functional partners to design the technical foundations for multiple products and services. This role involves hands-on system building, direct responsibility for delivering complex, large-scale technical efforts, and providing technical mentorship to other engineers.

Key contributions include:

  • Collaborating with engineers and technical leaders to ship interoperable products and services with strong foundations that manage customer interactions.
  • Partnering with cross-functional teams to develop plans that support system and product requirements, making effective tradeoffs between business priorities, user experience, and technical sustainability.
  • Assessing and recommending key tools and technology decisions to power digital products and services.
