Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with a minimum of 7 years of experience in software engineering, specifically in backend development. Strong leadership skills and experience leading teams of software engineers are required, as is a deep understanding of software development methodologies and best practices. Experience with cloud technologies and distributed systems is also desired.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Staff Software Engineer, you will lead teams of software engineers in the development of digital products and services for Scout Motors, including order management, customer management, and vehicle connectivity. You will be responsible for designing the technical underpinnings of multiple products, working with engineering managers and cross-functional partners to deliver complex and large-scale technical efforts. Additionally, you will act as a technical mentor and leader for other engineers, assess and recommend key tools and technology decisions, and collaborate with partners to produce plans that support systems and product requirements.
