Requirements
Candidates should have 6+ years of software development experience focusing on data-intensive solutions, with proven experience in the internals of Apache Spark, Apache Flink, Kafka Connect, or Apache Beam. Strong proficiency in Java and the JVM ecosystem, including memory management and concurrent programming, is required, along with a solid understanding of database fundamentals, SQL, data modeling, and OLAP databases. Familiarity with JDBC, network protocols, and a passion for open-source development are also necessary. Bonus points for prior open-source contributions, experience with ClickHouse or similar platforms, and working knowledge of Python.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be a core contributor responsible for owning and maintaining critical parts of ClickHouse's data engineering ecosystem, focusing on JVM-based frameworks. You will craft tools that enable Data Engineers to harness ClickHouse's speed and scale, owning the full lifecycle of data framework integrations from core database drivers to SDKs and connectors. Your work will directly impact how companies process massive datasets and you will collaborate with the open-source community, internal teams, and enterprise users to ensure high performance, reliability, and excellent developer experience for JVM integrations.
