Requirements
- Experience with a statically typed, object-oriented language such as Java, C#, or C++
- Hunger to learn new technologies, including the stack: Java, React, Typescript, GraphQL, Kubernetes, SQL/NoSQL databases, and AWS (experience with all not required)
- Comfortable working in a backend-focused full-stack role, primarily backend with occasional frontend (frontend expertise not required, can be learned on the job)
- Ability to work remotely from anywhere in Portugal or Poland, or hybrid from Lisbon offices
- Versatile and able to handle a variety of technical challenges
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain viator.com, Viator mobile apps, and supporting infrastructure
- Build systems that help operators grow their businesses and enable third parties to utilize inventory
- Create tools to support the customer services team in providing service to travelers and operators
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle: design, code, test, deployment, and iteration
- Collaborate closely with product managers and designers
- Release code to production frequently (every few days, with a daily release cycle)
