Candidates must have at least 3 years of industry experience in designing, building, scaling, and supporting backend systems in production, with strong software engineering practices like code reviews, quality focus, and documentation. Proficiency in a major programming language such as Java, Go, C/C++, or Python is required, along with experience configuring and deploying distributed systems and microservices using tools like Kubernetes and Helm. A strong focus on project delivery, communication skills, operational excellence for large production services, customer centricity, teamwork, technical leadership, and mentorship are also essential. A BS, MS, or PhD in computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience, is necessary. Experience with large-scale systems engineering, distributed systems, on-call support for critical systems, and observability concepts (metrics, traces, logging) is considered an advantage.
The Senior Software Engineer will collaborate with the team and stakeholders to design, architect, and develop a secure, multi-tenant Cloud Platform, enhancing observability features and solving complex distributed systems problems at scale. Responsibilities include building services that operate across different cloud providers like AWS, GCP, and Azure, independently driving the execution of complex technical projects from end to end, and building mission-critical backend services. The role involves architecting, designing, developing, and operationalizing high-performance, scalable, reliable, and resilient services, troubleshooting and debugging technical issues within a complex technical stack, and ensuring the operational readiness of services to meet availability and performance SLAs.
