Requirements

Candidates should possess a minimum of 6 years of software development experience and be a thought leader in principled software delivery using Node.js, React, and Typescript. A proven grasp of engineering principles, common tools, patterns, algorithms, libraries, use cases, key trade-offs, and systems design is required, along with confident intuition for micro and macro decision-making. Demonstrated coding capabilities and the ability to resolve complex technical challenges are essential, as is a willingness to learn new technologies.

Responsibilities

The Senior Software Engineer will own substantial workstreams, including new user-facing features and improvements to the existing services ecosystem. They will collaborate with a team of software professionals, prioritize high-level work, and represent their engineering team in organizational process discussions. Responsibilities include collaborating with mobile, backend, and data science practitioners, product managers, and delivery managers to create seamless user experiences. The role involves contributing to platform architectural decisions, building and maintaining internal administrative applications, participating in and leading code reviews, quality assurance, and production monitoring, and ensuring the security and safety of all Well systems and data according to policies and HIPAA guidelines.
