Senior Full-Stack Engineer
MercuryFull Time
Junior (1 to 2 years)
Candidates should have 5+ years of industry full stack engineering experience in single and multi-tenanted environments. Required skills include in-depth knowledge of Javascript/TypeScript, Python, and FastAPI, or equivalent modern languages/frameworks, as well as knowledge of relational and document-based databases, modern web architecture, and best practices. Fluency with HTML, CSS, responsive design, and related web technologies is necessary, along with familiarity with cross-browser compatibility, accessibility, browser networking, and browser APIs. Experience with unit and integration testing, working on distributed teams with strong version control using git, and diagnosing/preventing performance and optimization problems at large scale are also required. Experience with React, Starlette, SQLAlchemy, PostgreSQL, 3rd-party integrations, early-stage startups, and HIPAA-compliant environments are considered nice to have.
The Senior Software Engineer will develop large-scale progressive and single-page web applications to streamline user workflows and improve efficiency. This includes working on modern Javascript (React/Typescript) frontend applications and developing Python/FastAPI backend services with REST APIs and ML pipeline services. Responsibilities also involve building new features for a growing customer base, writing code that meets internal standards for security, style, maintainability, and best practices in a high-scale HIPAA web environment, and collaborating with Product Management, UX, and Customer Success teams to iterate on features and address defects. The role also requires advocating for improvements to product quality, security, and performance.
