Requirements

Candidates should have 5+ years of backend development experience and have architected and built data-intensive distributed systems in production environments. They must possess a pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset, the ability to handle trade-offs, and design for scale, growth, fault tolerance, and security. Experience with Healthcare business and supporting large enterprises is an asset. Proficiency in building robust deployment pipelines, running, monitoring, and debugging production systems at scale on AWS (EKS, RDS, S3, SQS, Kinesis, Lambda, DynamoDB), building production systems on serverless architecture, and running/orchestrating containers in AWS (ECS, Fargate, EKS) is required. Experience configuring and managing Kubernetes resources and solid programming skills in languages like Javascript or Python are necessary. Experience with Github Actions is a bonus, and a good understanding of database management is appreciated.

Responsibilities

The Senior Site Reliability Engineer will maintain and develop Oura's AWS infrastructure and related services. They will build tooling, observability, and fault tolerance into the cloud platform, and develop the infrastructure as code platform while helping to migrate services. Responsibilities include building deployment and dependency management for fast and robust code testing and release, building a team and culture of operational excellence, maintaining SLAs, and ensuring platform adherence to security and compliance regulations. The role also involves taking part in on-call duty.
