Requirements

Candidates should possess 4-6 years of sysadmin experience in handling large-scale distributed system software deployments in cloud or on-premises environments, along with a strong cloud management foundation and proficiency in Unix shells, Python, and Go programming. Experience with MySQL or PostgresQL databases, outstanding teamwork skills, excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, and strong debugging and troubleshooting abilities are also required. Experience working with observability tools and practices (Prometheus, Grafana), incident troubleshooting, and cloud experience in AWS (preferred) including hands-on experience with AWS-CLI are beneficial. Solid understanding of networking concepts and hands-on experience with Linux OS are necessary.

Responsibilities

The Senior Site Reliability Engineer will work to understand arising issues and overall application performance by enacting monitoring solutions, conducting consistent and thorough analysis of current systems to reduce problems and suggest improvements, and providing support across various areas including monitoring, processes, tools, architecture, and Root Cause Analysis. They will develop and maintain monitoring and alerting systems, automate routine tasks to improve system efficiency, troubleshoot and resolve incidents and outages, develop and implement automation scripts and tools, identify areas for improvement and design scalable solutions, monitor and act on alerts to avoid production outages, and upkeep Run books for the Alerts.
