Senior Manager, Organic Growth
ExpediaFull Time
Expert & Leadership (9+ years)
Candidates must have 5-8+ years of experience owning SEO for high-growth consumer brands, with a proven track record of driving material organic revenue or booking growth. Strong technical SEO skills, including crawlability, indexation, site architecture, Core Web Vitals, schema, canonicalization, and log-file analysis, are essential, along with experience partnering directly with engineering teams. Experience in content strategy and on-page optimization across various content types, as well as authority growth through digital PR and link earning, is required. Proficiency with tools such as Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs/Semrush, and a modern BI stack is necessary. Agency/vendor management experience is also a requirement. Nice-to-have qualifications include experience in the travel/hospitality or marketplace industry, local/destination SEO at scale, familiarity with structured data for lodging entities, knowledge of modern web stacks and basic web technologies, and experience collaborating with creative/brand and performance teams.
The Senior SEO Manager will own the end-to-end organic search strategy and roadmap, defining key metrics like non-brand organic bookings/revenue and building measurement plans. They will develop and execute quarterly roadmaps covering technical SEO, content, and authority/digital PR initiatives, sequencing them by impact and effort. This role involves leading day-to-day program management, including standups, backlog management, briefs, QA, and post-mortems. Responsibilities include partnering closely with Engineering to enhance site performance and searchability, and driving content execution that ranks and converts through keyword mapping, content architecture, and on-page optimization. The manager will also lead authority growth campaigns with agencies, operationalize Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) by enriching schema and targeting SERP features, and establish SEO guardrails within the company's design system and CMS. They will create repeatable playbooks for new launches and programmatic content, champion E-E-A-T signals, and build dashboards to measure SEO's impact on bookings and revenue. Designing test-and-learn frameworks and reporting progress to leadership are also key duties.
