Candidates should have 5+ years of hands-on experience in security engineering, DevSecOps, or infrastructure security roles. A solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS and/or GCP) and their security services is required, along with strong knowledge of Linux systems and core networking protocols. Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools, container security best practices, and proficiency in at least one scripting language are essential. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are also necessary. Standout qualifications include familiarity with secure authentication protocols, vulnerability scanning, security frameworks, programming experience in C, C++, or JavaScript, relevant security certifications, a strong sense of ownership, the ability to work independently, a commitment to continuous learning, empathy, clear communication, and a collaborative mindset.
The Senior Security Engineer will collaborate with senior engineers to define and implement security best practices across Serve’s cloud infrastructure. Responsibilities include supporting threat modeling, risk assessments, and architecture reviews. The role involves developing and improving automation tools for secure configuration management and continuous monitoring, assisting in implementing runtime security measures for containerized workloads, and designing/deploying endpoint and application security controls. The engineer will also participate in security incident triage, investigation, and resolution, contribute to internal documentation, raise security awareness, and participate in the Security team on-call rotation.
