Requirements

Bachelor's degree in lab sciences such as biology, biochemistry, immunology, chemistry, molecular biology or similar, plus 5+ years of relevant experience; OR Master's degree plus 3+ years of relevant experience; OR PhD
Experience with cell-based neutralizing antibody assays (ideal)
Experience with cell-based assays, cell culturing, ELISA, bioassays, plate-based assays, and immunoassays
Manual dexterity for pipetting and operating lab equipment
Ability to follow lab safety guidelines and use appropriate aseptic techniques
Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance and stand for full shift in a laboratory setting
Some degree of PPE required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.)

Responsibilities

Perform a variety of complex sample preparation and analysis procedures
Work with multiple functional groups to meet business needs
Plan and organize work with periodic supervision
Set up and maintain analytical instrumentation
Train on routine operation, maintenance and theory of analytical instrumentation, SOPs, and regulatory procedures and guidelines
Ensure QA findings are addressed appropriately
Communicate project status to project leaders
Provide assistance and training to other team members
Perform work assignments accurately, in a timely and safe manner
Review, interpret, and analyze data for technical, quality and compliance to protocols, methods, SOPs, client criteria, GMP or GLP
Support testing and analysis in the immunochemistry and vaccine department (run assays, prepare samples, lab documentation)
Act as a Lab Leader, assist the Associate Group Leader, run samples and help organize projects
Communicate effectively and follow detailed written and verbal instructions
Cooperate with coworkers in a team environment or work alone with supervision
Manage time effectively to complete assignments in expected time frame
Maintain a laboratory notebook and complete all documentation clearly and accurately according to SOPs
