Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CPA track strongly preferred
4–7 years of progressive accounting experience; combination of public accounting and private industry is a plus
Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, particularly revenue accounting (ASC 606), contract cost accounting (ASC 340)
Experience working in a high-growth or fast-paced environment
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to shifting business needs
Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and comfort working in systems such as NetSuite, or similar ERP platforms
Self-starter with a collaborative mindset and strong communication skills
Experience with close management tools, including optimization efforts

Responsibilities

Prepare journal entries and reconciliations for various accounting areas including but not limited to: Commission accruals and deferrals - prepare the accrual, capitalization and amortization of commissions and other contract costs
Revenue contract review - ensure the accurate review and documentation of non-standard contract language
Revenue reconciliations - ensure revenue impacts on contract amendments and modifications are accurate and ready to be posted for the month
Take on new accounting areas as the business scales
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring all entries are appropriately supported and in line with GAAP
Prepare documentation and support for internal and external audits
Assist with implementing and optimizing accounting systems and tools to drive efficiency
Develop and maintain ad-hoc revenue reporting
Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, Legal, and People teams to support business initiatives and ensure accounting impacts are considered
